Tate & Lyle Icing Sugar 500g
Our Icing Sugar is essential for making glacé or butter cream icing. Simply mix the Icing Sugar with water to produce a glossy “glacé” icing perfect for any size cake. For butter cream icing simply cream the soft butter first. For special occasion cakes, reach for the Royal Icing for piped and firmer results.
Usage Instructions:
Sift the icing sugar into a bowl, gradually beat in enough water to give a smooth icing,
thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Use immediately
Preparation and Usage
To make glacé icing.
225g/80z Tate & Lyle Sugars Fairtrade Icing Sugar.
2-3 tbsp water.
Sift the icing sugar into a bowl, gradually beat in enough water to give a smooth icing, thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Use immediately.
To make butter icing.
75g/3oz butter, softened.
175g/6oz Tate & Lyle Fairtrade Icing Sugar.
1 tbsp milk.
Put butter into a bowl, beat until creamy. Sift and gradually beat in the icing sugar, add the milk and beat again.
