Taylors of Harrogate Sour Cherry Infusion Tea 20ct
Deep, complex and rich - this indulgent infusion is jam-packed with the flavour of dark red fruit. It's the luscious taste of cherry paired with liquorice and star anise, creating a surprising tangle of sweet and sour.
The inspiration behind this infusion is that quintessentially British institution – the traditional sweet shop.
Specifically, it was our tea blenders’ childhood memories of a particular sweet (or candy) known as “Cherry Lips” - chewy, tangy treats in the shape of a pair of lips.
This is an adult version of that flavour profile. We take the taste of cherry, with all its glorious deep, dark depths, and then we pair it with two decidedly grown-up, complex ingredients: liquorice and star anise. They bring a delicious touch of spice, a gentle hint of sweetness and a moreish note that’s almost woody, making a herbal infusion that captures the joy of the sweet shop without the sugar spike.
And here’s something wonderful to try with this infusion: serve it chilled. Boil the water as normal and then brew it at twice the normal strength – using two tea bags per cup and infusing for around 10 minutes. You can then serve this over ice, perhaps with a slice of your favourite citrus. And, for the full effect, a bowl of cherries on the side.
Hibiscus, dandelion root, rosehip, liquorice root (8%), star anise (8%), natural cherry flavouring with other natural flavourings (7%), burdock root.
